Why do people blog so little?

Or do I just blog TOO MUCH?!

Take Rebecca from Fosterhood, for example. She does post frequently, but only writes a few sentences. How is she feeling, I wonder, about adopting Clementine? (That can’t be her real name, right?) How is Clementine’s relationship with her siblings (so far)? How is Rebecca feeling about meeting with the bio parents once a month? And how is Sandy’s case going??? Obviously Rebecca has the right to blog about as much or little as she wants, but I want to really know the story!

I follow well over 75 blogs… and only have a handful of entries to read per day. I obviously blog way more than the average person, and I definitely need to find more blogs to add to my bloglovin account.

  1. I understand completely. My blog posts seem oh so much longer than everyone else’s. But then again, I’ve never been accused of being a quiet person. I talk too much in blog-land too. 🙂

  2. This may be silly to say, but your enthusiastic posting had made you one of my favorites. Of course I enjoy your a writing, love to hear how you’re doing with Avalon, Jo Jo, and Moose, but I know what you mean – it’s so nice to have at least one blog I follow regularly updated! And so thoughtfully written. I’m amazed that you still have the time with Jo Jo and work. I’m still trying to put together posts from March for my blog.

    • Rebecca just posted about how she is a compulsive blogger. So am I! I love processing my thoughts “outloud”. I also get some downtime at work where I can write blog posts, plus I get an hour or two after Jo Jo sleeps and I always take 10 or 15 minutes to write. It’s been such an extremely healthy tool for me, throughout the fostering and TTC process, and then especially navigating the choppy waters of loss.

  3. Clementine is her real name.

Rebecca’s blog is way less anonymous than yours … I don’t see how she can post things about Sandy’s case, etc. … plus she may not be as introspective as you are, personality-wise.

  4. i agree in would love to know more about Rebecca’s take on things but Ive found from reading her blog for a while I think that’s just her style 🙂 keep it less emotional, more fact/funny etc and yes I do think that’s baby’s real name :)!

  5. I love Rebecca’s blog, too! I find myself wishing for longer posts from her, for more of the story. I suppose you could say I’m an “over sharer” on my blog but I’ve always used it as a tool for processing, memory keeping and ‘bonding’ with other bloggers.

  6. It ebbs and flows I find. I’m coming out of a…hiatus I suppose, but still struggling to write. I have 200 blogs I follow, and there is more than a handful to read I think.
